The Villa stands around a 15th-century watchtower, transformed over the centuries into a prestigious aristocratic residence. The Marquis Monaldi family enlarged the property, creating elegant gardens and making it a landmark of the local aristocracy.

In 1930, Count Francesco Maria Guardabassi commissioned architect Ugo Tarchi to carry out a major restoration, inspired by Roman and Tuscan Renaissance residences. The villa was enriched with Italian gardens, a pond, swimming pool and amphitheater, while a 4-kilometer aqueduct ensured water supply.

During World War II, the property was occupied by German and then Allied forces, suffering looting and abandonment. Later, it was rented to the Bulgari family, only to be purchased in 1989 by Maurizio Petrini, a local entrepreneur, who oversaw its restoration.

Today, the villa retains its architectural and landscape heritage, with frescoed halls, a panoramic tower and a park full of ancient trees. Recognized as an asset of historical interest, it has become an exclusive location for events, weddings and charming stays, where history and beauty come together in a unique experience.
